K2 Tall Mountain Expedition
 
 
The first meeting point was at JFK and Chuck and Dave arrived within 15 minutes of each other. Check in was exciting with 15 bags, all at the maximum weight, but the airline personnel were helpful and patient. After check-in it was time to call Dan’s cell phone -- he was in transit from another terminal and arrived five minutes later. Good karma! The team is not traveling light. Between Andy, Dan, Dave, and Chuck, they have a total of 25 bags, two of which are skis. The total weight is about 1,700 pounds (800 kg)!
