Team at K2 Base Camp

They have moved BC and are helping with the rescue activities. They are actively involved with Dave putting up fixed rope and Chuck and Andy (?) are part of the support crew in base camp. Apparently there was an ice fall that took out the fixed rope at the bottleneck above Camp 4 and left climbers coming down from the summit stranded in the ‘death zone,’ and others may have fallen. The facts are still sketchy. This is the biggest tragedy in K2’s history with 11 fatalities and other injured climbers still coming off the mountain.
